Teens need a place to become independent from their parents, while being challenged to work toward their maximum potential. Our frequently-hosted activities are an excellent way for teens get involved with peers that share similar goals and standards. By expanding their network with positive influences, they'll be able to maintain accountability and increase their social-skills. The good news is that at Star Martial Arts in Elkhart and Mishawaka, our Teens program is the perfect companion to help teens grow into strong, confident leaders, teaching confidence, focus & self-defense skills.

Since 1969, over one million students have trained in one of the 950 ATA Licensed schools. Our students regularly go on to join Ivy schools and become community leaders. The values they learn during their martial arts journey are the same you teach at home and last a lifetime.

Martial arts is an excellent form of exercise and self-defense, as well as a great cross-training activity for other high-school sports.

The traditional nature of martial arts teaches teens respect in their classes, whether they are taking a bow or waiting patiently for the next set of instructions. This sense of respect also helps teens improve their grades, while improving their listening skills at home and in school.
Our Pre-School program is ages 4-6, while Pre-Teens is Ages 7-12
Classes are divided by age and experience levels. STAR provides 5-7 options for each student group throughout the week, Monday through Friday in the afternoons and evenings. Students are encouraged to attend twice per week.

Absolutely not. Although they will learn cool martial arts and self-defense moves, your child will learn how to AVOID fights, not pick them.
Our Martial Arts classes' primary goal is to make sure our students learn to be leaders at home, at school and in their community in an enjoyable, safe environment. Come and take a class for yourself - we all have a blast and our instructors do too.
No, our classes are a good mix of boys and girls of all fitness levels. Beginners train alongside some of the more experienced kids, helping each other out in a fun team environment.
STAR provides all-inclusive training. This means that we provide equipment, belt testings, and even additional time needed to reach your goals at no cost to you. While we have multiple programs available to fit your personal needs, our average student will pay around $150-$175 per month.
